    When the nano-coating of titanium dioxide (TiO2) is exposed in low intensity UV-light, electrons release from its nano sized structure and left behind positively charged holes on the surface, these positive holes, create hydroxyl radicals, which can be very strong oxidizers.

    When organic pollutants and micro-organisms are in contact with these hydroxyl radicals, they can be completely broken down into carbon dioxide, water and other harmless compounds.

    Since the technology initializes a catalyst to accelerate the rate of oxidation, no chemical is added to the system, and no harmful by-products are released in the process is extremely environment.

    Nano-Fotocide® uses the latest state-of-art Nano Sol-Gel method for coating. A thin titanium dioxide film, nano-meters in thickness, is coated on solid substrate to achieve the highest pollutant removal efficiency.
